School of Health and Life Sciences Addition

This project was built as an addition to the main teaching building at the Doon campus and connects to the existing E-Wing. It is a 3-storey building of approximately 75,000 square feet consisting of three types of learning spaces for the School of Health and Life Sciences; i.e., interprofessional learning resources, a virtual health care environment and a Life Sciences cluster. The building was completed for full opening in August 2011.

The School of Health and Life Sciences addition was a Knowledge Infrastructure Program (KIP) project with contributions from the Province of Ontario and the Government of Canada.

EMS Ambulance Station

This project was built in partnership with the Region of Waterloo. The facility is jointly occupied and serves several purposes; i.e., it provides an operating station for the Region in South West Kitchener on an existing site with no associated land costs; it provides access for Region staff to Conestoga’s Advanced Care Paramedic training; and it houses Conestoga’s training vehicles for the Pre-Service Firefighter, Paramedic and Advanced Care Paramedic programs.

Conestoga's portion of the cost was included as part of the School of Health and Life Sciences addition Knowledge Infrastructure Program (KIP) project with contributions from the Province of Ontario and the Government of Canada.
