I manage the Electronic Systems Engineering degree program at our Cambridge campus, along with directing applied research within our Centre for Smart Manufacturing (CSM).

Faculty from multiple degree programs and advanced diploma programs are engaged
as Principal Investigators in CSM research, providing excellent co-op job opportunities for our students.
Areas of Expertise & Interest Research into advanced manufacturing, Internet of Things (IoT) and electronics, software and cybersecurity.
Industry Experience, Professional Currency Activities I have 16 years of experience as software consultant and entrepreneur, specializing in custom software development, digital signage software solutions and training.

Eight years of teaching experience within our Software Engineering Technology program, four and a half years as Academic Chair for the full IT and Electronics cluster of programs, and now supporting our applied research goals within our Centre for Smart Manufacturing.
Major Research Projects, Scholarly Activities, and/or Publications

    Directing multiple applied research projects for our Centre for Smart Manufacturing including: 

  • ICT enabled manufacturing solution to support defect tracking and analysis 

  • Prototype manufacturing solution for OLED display industry 

  • Prototype solution for wireless communications and energy harvesting to support energy monitoring solution

  • As faculty, awarded the 2011 Aubrey Hagar Award for Teaching Excellence 

  • As academic Chair, created an annual entrepreneurial challenge (4x4 Challenge) to encourage students to consider entrepreneurship as career
