Recruiting & Hiring Services

Conestoga’s Career Centre Employer Services provides employers with customized services to connect job seekers with opportunities to gain marketable skills and knowledge needed to obtain employment.  One of the goals of Employer Services is to connect employers who are willing to provide on-the-job training (including apprenticeship training and work experience, internship and mentorship opportunities), with individuals who are eager and ready to be trained to become fully productive members of the workforce.

Conestoga’s Career Centre Employer Services can assist in:

  • assessing potential candidates skills and abilities in relation to employer workplace needs
  • posting employment vacancies across all Conestoga Career Centre locations
  • facilitating employer workshops such as the “Are You Ready” workshop designed to assist employers with hiring and retaining Internationally Experienced Immigrants
  • developing a work experience, or on-the-job training plan that is skills based for the participant and consistent with the employer’s workplace requirements
  • monitoring participant performance and identifying resources for skill enhancement
  • assisting employers with identifying and resolving workplace issues
  • providing financial incentives to offset some of the costs associated with providing an effective work experience or on-the-job-training placement; financial incentives are not available in all cases and are determined on an individual basis
  • linking employers to other Conestoga College Employer services
