Essential Skills are the skills needed for work, learning and life. These include: reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, oral communication, working with others, continuous learning, thinking skills and computer use. These skills provide you with the foundation on which to build other skills that will enable you to evolve in your job and adapt to workplace change.
