Testing/Assessments

Assessments and Tests Offered through the School of Career and Academic Access

Academic Assessment
If you are interested in Academic Upgrading you will start with a general “Academic Assessment” to determine the level of your academic knowledge and skills in math and communications. The results of the assessment assist you and your teacher to develop your individualized “Learning Plan” to reach your educational goal successfully.

GED Pre-Test
If you are interested in writing the GED Test ( Grade 12 Equivalency Test ) you may want to first write the GED Pre-Test to find out whether you have the academic knowledge and skills to write the official GED Test successfully. The GED Pre-Test results tell you how much academic upgrading you need to pass the GED Test.

Quick Screen
The “Quick Screen” is a very basic assessment tool to find out if you have the minimum level of academic skills in math and communications to successfully complete individual courses or programs requiring a certain level of math and communications. If the results recommend that you improve your academic skills contact Academic Upgrading.
This quick assessment is available to clients of the Career Centres as well as Corporate Training.
