Proposals Submitted or Under Construction

Workforce Development is in the process of developing several projects.

Working in partnership with the Conestoga College Institute of Food Processing and the Alliance of Ontario Food Processors, Workforce Development aims to increase awareness of the Food Processing Industry as a vibrant and rapidly growing area, with many opportunities for employment.

Workforce Development is also working with several other employer partners to develop projects targeted at increasing Essential Skills in the workplace.

Workforce development is also seeking to work with rural youth who face barriers to entering the workforce. This program will aim to provide rural youth with Essential Skills and Employability Skills, as well as assisting them with obtaining employment.

In addition to programs designed to assist individuals who face barriers entering the workplace, Workforce Development is dedicated to contributing to the knowledge base about these target groups. As such, we are currently seeking funding opportunities to conduct education and workforce related research.
