The field of career development is evolving and expanding today, enabling practitioners to work in a variety of roles. This program is designed for individuals who are or would like to work in roles such as career counsellors, employment counsellors, career information practitioners, career development practitioners or career management practitioners. Practitioners in these roles may work in consulting firms, human resource departments, community organizations, private practices, learning institutions and government departments.

The courses listed are offered on the Internet. An optional introductory computer lab will be provided on the first evening, Tuesday, January 11 from 7-9 pm in Lab 1B25. Students should have a working knowledge of Windows and an Internet Browser, as well as having access to their own personal computer and an internet provider account.
Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology (CAAT) diploma or university degree. Applicants not meeting these criteria may apply to the Carer Foundations Program.
Note: Prefrence will be given to candidates who have: a) Completed post-secondary subjects in human development, psychology, and/or sociology. b) Previous paid OR voluntary experience in a related field.
