Making an Appointment

Students interested in making an appointment with a Counsellor may do so by visiting our offices or by phone.

At the Doon Kitchener Campus an appointment can by made by visiting us in our office located in the Student Life Centre, 1A101, or by calling us at 519-748-5220, x3360.

At the Waterloo Campus counsellors can be reached in the Campus Administration Main Office, 1C04 or by calling 519-885-0300, x5224.

At the Guelph Campus an appointment can be made by contacting counsellors in the Welcome Centre or by calling 519-824-9390, x6156.

At the Cambridge Campus an appointment with the counsellor can be made through the Adaptive Technology Lab, in-person in Room A2219 or by calling 519-748 x4523 or x.3360. When calling, please identify yourself as a Cambridge Campus student.

At the time of their visit/call students will be asked to provide their name and current program information. All requests for service are responded to as promptly as possible. If you are experiencing a crisis, please inform our reception staff that you need to be seen sometime during that day. You may request to meet with a specific counsellor. If no request is issued, you will be connected with a counsellor whose availability matches you schedule. During the first session the counsellor will help you to gain an understanding of the concern, clarify the goals for counselling and work towards reaching your goal. The possibility of future sessions will be discussed at this time.
