Judgment about the seriousness of the circumstances should not be made without consultation from a mental health professional. If you are unsure how to approach the student or the student is unwilling to see a counsellor, consult immediately with a counsellor. (Location & Hours). If a student makes a direct threat of suicide and insists on leaving, call Campus Security or 911 immediately. In the event of an actual suicide attempt, call 911 and Campus Security.
