Student Accident Insurance

Full-time fee paying students enrolled in full-time day programs in Post-Secondary and Certificate areas of study are eligible for the Student Accident Insurance provided by the Old Republic Insurance Company of Canada through the Staebler Insurance Company in Kitchener.

This policy covers you in the event of an accident and provides coverage for death, disability, dread disease, and dismemberment, and other items. This insurance is a mandatory insurance covered by your tuition ancillary fees.

The CSI Health Plan

This health coverage is available to all students enrolled in full -time, government funded programs. This plan complements your provincial health plan giving you coverage for glasses, dental care, prescription drugs, chiropractic care and other paramedical expenses.

Student must provide proof of coverage in order to “opt out” of this plan. Alternately, if a student was not charged for the plan on their tuition, but would like to enrol themselves they may do so. If students would like to add a spouse and/or dependent, this can also be done. Please keep in mind that all changes in coverage must be completed by the deadline set out for that term.

International Students

All international students studying at Conestoga College are required to have the Conestoga International Health Insurance Plan provided by Studentcare. The cost is included in tuition and coverage includes medical and life insurance benefits.

(NOTE: some exceptions apply for those international students studying on a government sponsorship or those who may have OHIP).
