|DIMM1090||Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing
Description: Recommended: Mathematics Level IV or Mathematics Grade 12 (General or Advanced) or equivalent AND the ability to read engineering drawings. The course extends basic engineering drafting skills to the applied principles of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Emphasis is placed on interpretation and application symbols to drawings, measurements and quality control.
|QUAL1040||Principles Of Quality Assurance
Description: Recommended: QUAL1030 Fundamentals of Quality Assurance. This course will present, in detail, the principles of quality functions and how to select and implement those that are appropriate. Emphasis will be on the theory of self-control, motivation for quality and cost of quality, quality audit, vendor relations, customer relations, measurement control, control of non-conforming materials and corrective actions. The control of variables will be related to management, operator and the system dominant concepts.
|QUAL1100||QMS Process Auditing
Description: This course introduces students to various methods of evaluating compliancy with a Quality Management System (QMS). Internal quality auditors will find this course helpful, as it will examine how to best determine whether quality activities comply with planned arrangements and whether these activities have been implemented effectively. The students will learn how to apply the process approach to auditing in order to examine processes and procedures. The course will be using the 2008 version of ISO 9001. The student will be introduced to ISO 9001:2015 standard with the intent to show the major differences between the two revisions.
