Although the course for which you are registered may be a course offering from another Ontario College, you must abide by the academic policies as stated by Conestoga College. These polices are outlined in the Online Student Guide and some important deadlines are set out below.
We recommend that students be registered at least one week prior to the course start date to ensure access to the course. Cancellation decisions are made 3-4 days prior to the course start date for courses with insufficient registration. Some courses have additional intakes. Go to www.conestogac.on.ca/dl/ontariolearn and click on Course Details for information about courses and texts.
If course registrations are insufficient, the course will be cancelled. You will be notified by the Registrar's Office and a full refund will be issued. Cancellation decisions are made 3-4 days prior to the scheduled start date.
Please note the withdrawal deadline to receive a refund is 14 calendar days after the start date. NO REFUNDS will be issued after this date.
If, at anytime within the first 70% of your course, you choose not to complete the course, please contact the Registrar’s Office or notify Shirley Nequest, OntarioLearn Officer, by email snequest@conestogac.on.ca. You will be allowed to drop the course and receive a ("W" Withdrawal) on your transcript. If more than 70% of the course is completed, then a "Fail" will be implemented.
If you simply stop attending a course, there is no way of the college staff knowing this and a grade of "Fail" will be assigned to your transcript.
The College no longer mails out final grades. Final grades are available online at www.conestogac.on.ca - click on Current Students, then Student Portal. You will require your student id number and birth date for the initial log in. You can print off an achievement summary from that site. If you have difficulty logging in or require an official transcript, contact the Registrar’s Office at 519-748-3550.
Please note that not all courses offered through OntarioLearn will be accepted as equivalent to Conestoga College courses. If you are unsure as to the status of a particular course, go to www.conestogac.on.ca/ontariolearn and click on Course Equivalencies or direct your inquiry to Shirley Nequest, OntarioLearn Officer at snequest@conestogac.on.ca. Your request will be forwarded to the respective academic area at Conestoga College.
