Online training for SIS Gradebook is being developed to provide refresher training in all elements of the operation of the SIS Gradebook system. This training should be sufficient as well for someone learning to use Gradebook from scratch, although it really is recommended that classroom training (usually 1 - 1.5 hours) be attended by new users.

SIS Gradebook is a system available to all Conestoga Faculty to use in defining a full gradebook spreadsheet for grading courses. SIS Gradebook is targeted at Faculty who are not using the Angel online learning environment for their courses. Angel has it's own, totally separate Gradebook and should not be confused with the SIS Gradebook.
Easy To Use. Web-based system built by Conestoga IT Services to design specifications of Conestoga Faculty.
Improved Communication. Grades are easily provided to students via the Student Portal with just a check of the column "Release" flag. No web site programming is required.
Powerful Formulas. Best 3 out of 4. Must pass all Tests? All can be handled with Gradebook Formula builder.
Universal Access. Gradebook can be accessed from any computer with Internet access, on or off campus. Just sign into the Conestoga Portal from the Faculty&Staff web page.
Re-useable. Gradebooks can be "exported" and saved to a network file for later use or shared with co-workers.
All Schools are advocating use by Faculty of one or the other of the two Gradebook products. By November, 2008 IT Services will have integrated the Angel Gradebook to the Student Portal, so that regardless of which product Faculty are using, a consolidated view of grades will be available to Students for all courses.
By December, 2008 IT Services will integrate Final Grades from Angel Gradebook to the SIS grades approval process, for electronically uploading grades to the SIS. This will eliminate the need for those using Angel Gradebook to re-enter their Final Grades in another system.
