It’s easy to get the information you want about award opportunities.
- be enrolled full-time or part-time in the 1st semester of the Hearing Instrument Specialist program
- have achieved a minimum overall average of 70% or more based on Conestoga’s admissions process.
- have demonstrated a desire to help others through volunteer positions
- Letters of support from employers/community groups, or past or present teachers will be considered as supporting evidence of these traits.
- Submit a one page letter or short video explaining a little about themselves, their passions and what brought them to decide on a career as a Hearing Instrument Specialist.

- meet the admission requirements for the Personal Support Worker (PSW) Program
- be able to demonstrate in a written letter of request why he or she is making the request for this bursary, the steps that he or she has taken and is taking to prepare for the program, and why the program is important to him or her. The letter could include items such as: education, employment, volunteering experience and work aspirations
- be able to demonstrate financial need

- be a graduate of the School of Career and Academic Access and be enrolled in full-time post-secondary studies at Conestoga;
- demonstrate a minimum average of 75%;
- be in good academic standing with no academic offences
- applicants to submit a resume and copy of their timetable;
- applicants to submit a short, maximum 500 word paragraph, outlining how they see the following qualities in themselves:
- show “team player” qualities
- contribute to the success of the program by helping others
- exude a positive attitude and commitment
- seek innovative ideas and solutions
- assume a leadership role amongst peers
- demonstrate school spirit and participation
- applicants should be committed to community service and include a contact name and number as a reference,
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Entrance Scholarships - 8 awards valued at $750
- be registered as a full-time student in the Masonry Fundamentals program
- have obtained a highest overall average based on marks from the last year of high school
- Preference will be given to students graduating from an Ontario high school.

- be enrolled full-time in the first-year Integrated Advanced Manufacturing Technologies Applied Degree Program
- have achieved the highest average marks upon graduating from secondary school as determined through the Conestoga College admissions process
- If there is more than one qualified candidate for this scholarship other criteria such as leadership will be reviewed.

- have a parent or grandparent who is an alumnus of Conestoga College
- be a first-year student who is entering the College in his or her first semester of first year
- be enrolled in a diploma, certificate or degree program at Conestoga College

- be registered as a full-time student, entering his or her first year of a Conestoga program
- must submit a letter and/or resume detailing their involvement in sports during high school and at the club level. Details of performance at past competitions and achievements should be included.

- be registered in the first year of a ministry-approved Conestoga College certificate, diploma, or degree program – the duration of the program must be greater than 21 weeks

- have lived in Ontario for at least 12 consecutive months

The Conestoga Entrance Award is available to all students coming to their first year at Conestoga College. The award is available to programs which start in the fall, winter, spring and summer,

- accepted in to a part-time certificate or diploma program offered through Continuing
Education and successfully completed a minimum of two courses within the program in
the 2010 calendar year
- able to demonstrate continued involvement with his or her community through volunteer
work

- full-time student registered in Year 1 of a four-year Conestoga Bachelor degree program*
- has obtained a minimum average of 70% in their top six Grade 12 U or M grades or equivalent
- demonstrate financial need
- have lived in Ontario for at least 12 consecutive months
- is a Canadian citizen, Landed Immigrant or Protected Person
*Students in collaborative degree programs (i.e. Bachelor of Science in Nursing with McMaster University) are not eligible for these scholarships, however, you continue to be eligible for Conestoga‘s Entrance Awards and other scholarships.

- have successfully graduated from a City of Guelph secondary school
- have obtained the highest overall average of any City of Guelph secondary school graduate enrolled at Conestoga
- demonstrate leadership skills and/or volunteer activities in the community. (Letters of support from program faculty and/or volunteer/community groups will be accepted as proof of these qualities).
- If more than one applicant is eligible for this award then the successful candidate will be chosen based also on his or her leadership skills and/or volunteer activities in the community.

- answer the following two questions in any way they see fit. This could include, but is not limited to a written application, using a power point presentation, by creating a video on YouTube or using other technology or social media:
- up until this point in your life, how have you demonstrated leadership? examples could include, but are not limited to, examples in your family and/or personal life, involvement in extracurricular activities while attending school, volunteer activities and community involvement
- Conestoga presents many opportunities to be a leader. How do you plan to demonstrate leadership within the Conestoga College community?
- be able to demonstrate financial need;
- be able to demonstrate a commitment to academic achievement by successfully completing the first semester of the program with a combined GPA of no less than 3.5

- have entered directly into the program upon graduation from high school
- have achieved the highest average marks upon graduating from secondary school as determined through the Conestoga College admission process

- have not recieved a scholarship of any kind from Conestoga

The Metis Nation of Ontario Bursary Fund helps Métis people in Ontario gain the skills necessary to advance their careers and realize their aspirations and create more opportunities for Métis students in post-secondary education.
The amount of bursary per eligible student depends on the accumulation of interest at that school and its administration processes.

The scholarships will be awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional merit without regard to financial need. The emphasis for award selection includes:
- good citizenship, as demonstrated by positive and verifiable service to the community
- the ability to motivate others and demonstrate leadership in life’s challenges
- good academic standing as demonstrated by acceptance to or continuation, without failures, in full-time post-secondary programming at Conestoga College
- how you personally benefited from this involvement
Award Value: $3000 , up to 4 awarded

- have achieved the highest average marks upon graduating from secondary school as determined through the Conestoga College admission process
- have achieved a GPA of 3.0 and be in good academic standing at the end of the first semester.
Award Value: Six scholarships (one per degree program) of $1500 each and six scholarships (one per degree program) of $1,000 each

- be registered with Disability Services and/or Counselling Services < as a student coping with a mental health concern as confirmed by a signature of a counsellor in either Disability Services or Counselling
- submit a maximum two-page essay outlining the nature of his or her need, his or her program of study, and how this award would assist in success as a student at Conestoga College.

- have had six months continuous employment (with the same employer) in a kitchen of a food service facility

- have entered the first year of the Hospitality and Tourism program or Hospitality Management – Hotel & Restaurant.
- have achieved a minimum overall average of 80% in Grade 12 subjects,
- have had six months continuous employment within the past year (with the same employer) in a food service facility.

- be successfully enrolled in the first year of Business Administration-Supply Chain and Operations Management for the current September
- submit a 600-1000 word essay on the competition's topic - refer to www.conestogac.on.ca/essaycompetition for all details including essay topic
Award Value: first place: first year tuition approx. $2300; second place: laptop: approx. $1200.

- be registered as a student in Conestoga’s Pre-Service Firefighter Program
- provide a brief note confirming why he or she want to become a firefighter and if applicable, his or her service experience (location and role)
- Preference will be given to a student who has served in the Canadian military service, including cadets.
In the event that more than one student qualifies for the award based on the above criteria, the final decision will be based on financial need.
In the event that no student in the September intake qualifies for the award, the award will be offered to the January intake class.
