The Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State (Science and Technology) and Member of Parliament for Cambridge-North Dumfries, along with Harold Albrecht, MP for Kitchener-Conestoga and the Honourable John Milloy, MPP for Kitchener Centre, Ontario Minister of Community and Social Services and House Leader, was at Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning in Kitchener today to officially open the institution’s new Health and Life Sciences Centre.

Thanks to the generosity of The Cowan Foundation, in the form of a $100,000 grant, Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning has been able to create a Chair in Workforce Development.
Workforce Development is a new and exciting area of Career and Academic Access that focuses on developing new programs for clients, and creating partnerships with local organizations and employers.

MTE Establishes Endowment Fund with Conestoga College
On March 19, MTE Consultants Inc. (MTE) officially launched an endowment fund supporting five engineering technology awards at Conestoga College. Conestoga Awards Scholarships to Degree Program Students
Twenty-three students in degree programs at Conestoga College are the recipients of more than $30,000 in entrance and academic achievement scholarships provided by a number of College and community donors. Presentation of all these honours took place on February 25.
