Q: Can I make a donation online?
A: Yes! Please visit our secure site here to donate using your Visa, MasterCard or American Express card.
Q: What is the easiest way to give?
A: If you have made the decision to give to Conestoga, a donation on-line, or by cash, cheque, credit card is a convenient route. We do not recommend sending cash through the mail. Cash donations may be dropped off at the Development Office, located upstairs in the Student Client Services Building, Doon Campus (Kitchener), Conestoga College.
Q: Will I receive a receipt for my gift/pledge to Conestoga?
A: Yes, official gift receipts are issued for all contributions – there is no minimum donation cut-off.
Q: I have not heard from Conestoga lately. Am I still in your database?
A: It is possible that we do not have your current contact information. Please contact our office at 519-748-5220 ext. 3463 or e-mail jbuchholzer@conestogac.on.ca to update your record.
Q: I already pay for my child’s tuition. Why should I donate to Conestoga?
A: On average, the actual cost for a student to attend Conestoga is far more than the cost of tuition. Your gift to Conestoga helps fund projects that would not otherwise be financially possible. What’s unique about the gifts you provide is that they enrich the Conestoga experience for all students across our campus, both now and in the future.
Q: Where can I direct my gift?
A: You can direct your gift to the area that means the most to you. This could be a school or program, the Learning Resource Centre, a scholarship or bursary fund or to the College’s greatest needs.
Q: How are gifts to “the College’s highest priority needs “used?
A: Gifts to the College’s highest priority needs do not have a restriction on their use. These gifts give Conestoga the flexibility to respond to exciting opportunities and emerging needs. They provide support for innovation and the development of challenging new programs that inspire students and bring new life to labs and team work. A gift to the College’s highest priority needs is one of the most significant ways your contribution can make an impact.
Q: Who is calling me on behalf of Conestoga?
A: The Annual Fund Calling Program employs over 20 students who call alumni throughout the year. Students enjoy hearing alumni stories, and alumni welcome the opportunity to find out about the exciting developments that are shaping the student experience today.
Q: What is the Conestoga Annual Fund?
A: The Conestoga Annual Fund is one of the few sources of undesignated income for the College. When you make an annual gift to the Fund, you give Conestoga the ability to direct your gift to the area of highest priority, urgent projects and emerging opportunities. Your gift will be used in the same year it is given to support projects that would otherwise not be possible.
Q: How can I give in my Will?
A: Our Development Office will be happy to provide you with all the information you need. In the meantime, please visit our Bequest web page, where you can read about bequests and other planned giving opportunities.
