Responsibilities

All things related to Information Literacy including explaining what Information Literacy is.
Working with our Program Liaisons to develop Information Literacy sessions that meet the needs of our diverse student population.
Information literacy related instruction and consultation for the BScN program.
Managing the library’s e-resources (databases, our website, e-books, and online tutorials) including what we have, how it looks and how it works.

Interests

Now more than ever we need our students to graduate with a high level of information literacy. When our students have the ability to efficiently locate quality information, critically assess what they find and use it to gain knowledge for decision making they will be in a better position to participate in our knowledge and skills based society.

I am constantly seeking new ways in which to teach these skills to our students and learning more about how, when and why students access information. That is what makes my job so exciting.

There is ALWAYS something new to learn.

Finding information is easy; finding knowledge is more difficult.
