What They Do:

The Roles and Responsibilities of an Orientation Leader include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in Orientation set-up and take-down
  • Enthusiastically welcoming and providing direction to students, families and friends as they arrive on Orientation day
  • Facilitation of a low-key welcome activity
  • Interacting with new students during lunch and engaging them in afternoon activities
  • Answering student questions and alleviating student anxieties
  • Creating a friendly, energetic atmosphere on campus

How to Recognize an Orientation Leader:

Orientation Leaders are highly visible during Orientation. They will be all over campus and can be easily identified by their royal blue t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts that say "Orientation Leader".
