The Social Orientation Staff (SOS) is a Residence committee that encourages interaction through leadership with residence programming.
SOS members provide feedback on the monthly events calendar and what they would like to see happen for Residence events. SOS works with the Residence Life Team in programming, planning, coordinating events and overseeing the Residence Life Social Fund.
The leaders meet once every two weeks and take part in teambuilding activities hosted by the SOS President (normally an upper-year resident). The leaders also take time out to help the Resident Advisors with organizing residence programs, and take part in “Poster Making Nights” to make advertising for events.
SOS is always recruiting new members. Students are encouraged to check the bulletin boards in Residence for more details on the next meeting and students are encouraged to go to the meetings to begin taking part!
