Respect Week – March 28-April 1, 2011

The Respect Campaign Student Committee hosted the second annual Respect Week in the Student Life Centre at Doon Campus from March 28 through April 1, 2011. The festivities throughout the week included a variety of fun, light-hearted activities to encourage students to think about small ways they can make an impact with others. The week kicked off with Smile Day on Monday, where students were encouraged that a smile can make a positive impact. Other days consisted of Walk A Mile Day (with booth displays showcasing the challenges of students who go to Conestoga and what it would be like to be in their shoes), Differences Day (a Campus Service Learning initiative with the English Language Studies program where students shared the differences of respect between cultures), Words of Encouragement Day, and a Games Day event.
