Health & Wellness

The Student Life Department aims to promote attitudes and behaviours that enhance student success in the Conestoga community. An important aspect of ensuring the success of all students is to support them in their personal health and wellbeing. Therefore, it is important for Conestoga to promote Health and Wellness initiatives on campus!

In partnership with academic programs and other service departments, the Student Life Department helps in leading Health & Wellness Weeks in November and March each year. Understanding that students often feel stressed and overwhelmed with projects and approaching exams in November, Healthy Student Week encourages students to think about their wellbeing. As such, partnerships include a number of Health Sciences programs which provide specialized health promotion related to the students' specific field of study.

The Student Life Department engages a number of classes through CSL for Health & Wellness Weeks including the General Arts & Science-Health Options program and the Pre-Health Sciences program, as part of their “Student Success for Higher Learning” Liberal Studies courses, Dietetic Technician, Fitness & Health Promotion, Hearing Instrument Specialist, Practical Nursing and Recreation & Leisure Services.
