Get Involved Fair Volunteers
The Student Life Department organizes the Get Involved Fair, a semesterly event that unites academic and service areas from across the College with community organizations in a common goal to connect students with meaningful opportunities to "get involved"! Our fair provides students with a chance to meet new people, discover new possibilities and opportunities, allow for personal growth, and assist in developing life skills.
We look for helpful student volunteers at the start of each semester to assist on the day of the events by welcoming exhibitors as they arrive, assisting with set-up and teardown of the event, and helping to promote the event to students on the day.
Volunteer Requirements
- Be a part-time or full-time registered student at Conestoga College
- Positive Ambassador for Conestoga College
- Energy, will and enthusiasm to create positive change
- Be available to volunteer at some point during the day of event for a minimum of an hour
- Possess or have a desire to build strong communication and teamwork skills
Roles and Responsibilities
- Be available to attend a 1.5-hour Volunteer Orientation meeting
- Welcome and provide direction to booth exhibitors as they enter the College, and thank them for coming
- Assist exhibitors with the set-up and teardown of their displays
- Be responsible for providing parking passes to the exhibitors as they arrive and providing instructions on where they park
- Offer refreshments and light snacks to exhibitors during the event
- Promote and explain the event to students through word-of-mouth in the hallways and cafeterias
- Encourage students to participate in Passport program to win prizes at the event

- Opportunity to network with other students and staff on campus and members of community organizations
- Enhance your resume with valuable volunteer experience
