Description: This is a practical course for the person who wishes to make repairs to all types of small engines (lawnmowers, snowblowers, chainsaws etc.) Learners may work on their own small engines in class with the assistance of the instructor. Topics covered include: principles of operating a 4- and 2-stroke engine, engine overhaul, cylinder and valve reconditioning, lubrication system, chainsaw sharpening and trouble-shooting, engine problems and home servicing of small engines.

Description: This is a hands-on course, working on products supplied by the college with the instructor's assistance. Topics will include teardown of engines and transmissions, trouble shooting of engine and tractor wiring, set up of mower cutting deck and preventative maintenance and storage.
