This course is conducted on standardized and ergonomically optimized training workstations using industrial grade control components. Hardware and training models reflect international equipment standards and the up-to-date training practices of both Canada and the world's leading institutional and industrial automation technology centres. Participants will learn about the design and function of complex hydraulic systems and by using hydraulic circuitry, learn essential maintenance aspects and analysis.

IFME1000 Advanced Hydraulic Repair Techniques

Description: Hydraulic power is defined as the generation, control and application of smooth, effective power of pumped fluids such as oil in order to push, pull, rotate, regulate or drive the machines, equipment and appliances of modern life. In this course, students will gain familiarity with the physical principles relating to hydraulics. They will gain the basic skills for the disassembly, inspection, diagnosis and application of corrective steps for repair of assemblies of a variety of hydraulic components such as cylinders, valves and pumps.

Description: Hydraulic power is defined as the art of generating, controlling and applying effective power of pumped fluids such as oil in order to push, pull, rotate, regulate or drive the machines, equipment and appliances of modern life. In this course, you will gain theoretical knowledge and practical familiarity with hydraulic circuits, pressure relief valves, single/double acting cylinder, restrictions, flow metering, pressure compensated flow control valves, hydraulic fluids, fluid power symbols, hydraulic power unit, directional control valves, check valves and introduction to regenerative circuits.
