Services offered remotely

Accessible Learning

Accessibility Advisors are available remotely. Students already registered can contact their advisor directly.

Accessible Learning students who do not currently have access to required documentation can connect with an Accessibility Advisor and provide documentation at a later date. For new appointments or other inquiries, please contact accessibility@conestogac.on.ca.

Athletics and Recreation

Virtual fitness and wellness programs are available.

Be-Dah-Bin Gamik (Aboriginal Services)

Be-Dah-Bin Gamik is offering remote Indigenous traditional counselling, Elder visits, online staff and student gatherings, and other cultural events.

Bookstore

The bookstore is available online with digital options for course needs.

Career Centre

Conestoga’s Career Centre is available to provide services in a virtual format. As part of the Employment Ontario network, the team is available to support the community with employment and career goals through phone, internet, email, Zoom meeting options and other online resources and information.

Conestoga Students Inc. (CSI)

CSI is dedicated to providing student support. Virtual programming and services are available, including daily online events and wellness information.

Co-op Services

Co-op advisors are available remotely through Zoom to assist with

  • guidance (including document review, interview prep and LMI),
  • co-op inquiries,
  • work term reporting,
  • reviewing assignments, and
  • eConestoga. 

Students can book an appointment with their advisor via myCareer (Co-op > appointments).

Counselling and Peer Support

Counselling and peer support services are available to students remotely. For more details or for appointments, please visit myWellness

Cowan Health Sciences Centre - Inter-professional Resources team

The Inter-professional Resources (IPR) team is available remotely to support all students in the School of Health & Life Sciences. In-person services offered in the Open Access Lab to facilitate learning are now offered virtually through the Remote Learning Support Centre. The IPR team is available via Zoom, Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., for one-on-one support to

  • reinforce best practice skills acquisition,
  • direct students to available resources,
  • provide clarity on topics that require review,
  • offer suggestions for entry-to-practice examinations,
  • offer advice on successful entry to clinical practice, and
  • offer advice on inter-professional collaboration.

Students wishing to book an appointment can contact openaccess@conestogac.on.ca for the Zoom link and password, and provide their name, program/level and the nature of their request, as well as additional peers wishing to join. Up to four students can attend the same appointment.  

International Student Advising

The International Office is available to support students remotely with questions regarding admissions, immigration, permits and visas, as well as transitioning to Canada.

IT Services

IT Services is available to help students and employees connect remotely and troubleshoot.

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) programming

LINC programming is being offered remotely.

Library Services

Library Services continues to support learning, technology, writing and research needs remotely. Library and Tech Bar support staff are available via askON chat service and Tech Chat.

Medical Care Clinic

To adhere to public health guidance, college medical services will continue to provide appointments to students by phone only. For more details or appointments, please visit the Medical Care Clinic page. 

Please do not come to campus for appointments or walk-in service.

Student Career Advising

Career services are available remotely. To book an appointment online, please visit myCareer or email myCareerServices@conestogac.on.ca.

Student Engagement

Student Engagement services are offered remotely. For virtual workshops and opportunities to connect with other students, visit the Co-curricular Portal.

Student Rights and Responsibilities

The Student Rights and Responsibilities team is available remotely to consult on disruptive behaviour, procedural fairness, barriers to access and inclusion, harassment/discrimination concerns, and interpersonal disputes.

Student Success Advisors

Student Success Advisors are available via phone, email or Zoom online meetings to support students as they navigate college services. Use the online self-referral form to connect with a Student Success Advisor.

Tutoring

Tutoring and academic support services, including Learning Skills Advisors, Math Support and Peer Tutoring, are available through a variety of digital methods.

What’s closed?

All Conestoga campuses and sites are closed to the public with limited access. Only those required to be on campus for in-person teaching, learning or essential work purposes will be admitted.

On-campus services have been suspended. This includes:

  • The Student Recreation Centre: virtual fitness classes are available 
  • Conestoga Career Centre locations: remote services are available
  • Library Services locations: online services are available
  • Office of the Registrar: available remotely through phone or email
  • Conestoga Students Inc.: in-person events and services are suspended, remote services are available
