Abell Culinary & Hospitality Awards
In the food service industry, food safety is everyone's job. The necessity and importance of safe food handling practices and maintenance of all areas of a food service establishment is extremely important. These awards, sponsored by Abell Pest Control, recognize students who excel in Conestoga’s Sanitation and Safety course.

The Cambridge Solutions Award is presented to a Supply Chain and Operations Management or Purchasing student team that utilizes advanced information systems to solve business problems. The system design is functional, reliable, usable and includes both MS Excel spreadsheet and MS Access database management techniques.

CPA Ontario - Frank Mensink Award
The CPA Ontario Award has been established in honour of Frank Mensink FCGA, former chair of the CGA Ontario Board of Directors and past executive dean of the School of Business and Hospitality. This award recognizes Frank's contributions to the certified general accountant designation, and awards his strides towards creating and facilitating CPA pathways for Conestoga College students.

Chameli Naraine Premier's Supply Chain Student Engagement Award
Chameli Naraine, president and CEO of Symco, founder of the Naraine Global Fund and Conestoga graduate created this award to support students in the Business Administration - Supply Chain and Operations Management program. The Debra Marshall Award has been established in recognition of Debra Marshall, Executive Director of Human Resources, who retired after more than 35 years at Conestoga. During her career, Debra made a tremendous contribution to the college, demonstrating her professionalism and integrity in her dealings with employees and others across the Conestoga community.

The Gleiser Award
Amy Gleiser has been teaching in the Office Administration program for the past five years and has been amazed at the students that come through the program. These students are eager, engaged, and looking to make significant contributions to their future employers, their communities, and their families. These students work very hard while they are here and graduate to become administrative professionals in a variety of sectors in our community. These administrative professionals are the backbone of their organizations. Amy wanted to recognize the efforts of top students that embody the traits of an administrative professional. Amy believes that our students should be recognized and rewarded for exceptional effort and excellence in the Executive Office Administration program.

Goliger's TravelPlus Hospitality and Tourism Management Academic Grant
Established by the president and owner of Goliger's TravelPlus, five grants of $1,00 each will be awarded annually to students entering the Hospitality and Tourism Management program at Conestoga. The grants are renewable for past recipients provided those students have maintained an overall average of 75 per cent at the end of year one and have demonstrated financial need. A maximum of five grants will be awarded annually.

Gordon Dennis Memorial Endowment for Excellence in Supply Chain Management
Gordon (Gord) Dennis was an icon in the transportation sector for more than 30 years. He started as a dock shipper with Sears and worked his way up to Director Distribution Ontario/West Region for Molson Canada. He was known far and wide in the industry to be honest and fair to co-workers, customers, and suppliers. He had a high level of knowledge and competence that made him a leader and a mentor in the industry. He was a key figure in providing unique insights into supply chain management for Molson Canada. Gord's family, his employer and indeed many leading transportation individuals and members of the Canadian brewing industry created a permanent scholarship at Conestoga College to recognize Gord's legacy and provide a deserving student financial aid in the field of Supply Chain Management.

Insurance Brokers Association of Waterloo Region (IBAWR): Nancy Schwartz Memorial Scholarship
This award has been established by the Insurance Brokers Association of Waterloo Region in memory and honour of Nancy Schwartz. Nancy Schwartz (December 28, 1944 - February 19, 2009) was the IBAWR executive secretary for nearly 30 years, working with our members, board and presidents. Nancy was the touchstone for brokers and industry friends as she quietly and effectively managed the business of IBAWR.

The Michael Harris and Jon Olinski Leadership in Management Endowed Academic Grant
As graduates of the Business Administration – Management program, Mike Harris and Jon Olinski used the skills they learned to improve life for Conestoga students through their involvement in student government. At the local, provincial and national levels Harris and Olinski represented Conestoga as executive members of Conestoga Students Inc. and the College School Alliance. Their involvement in political activities continues today. They feel that it is important to give back to the college that helped them launch their careers and prepare them for future challenges.
