Program description - January 2024

Social media marketing strategists and online community managers are key players behind companies and brands across Canada. They develop content, engage customers, and create positive experiences and interactions via social media.

This Ontario College Graduate Certificate program in Social Media Marketing prepares you to become a marketing leader, strategist, and thought leader in the fast-paced field of social media. Throughout the program, you will develop integrated social media marketing plans, leverage prevalent technologies, and explore generative AI for enhanced strategies.

You will also be able to set up and maintain a multi-platform social media presence while gaining hands-on experience in content creation, community management, social engagement, reputation management, and crisis prevention. By immersing yourself in real-world projects, as a student, you stay updated on industry trends and build connections with target audiences.

You will feel confident when applying to be a social media marketer, social media manager, marketing coordinator, content specialist, content generator, community manager, or social media strategist. Graduates will be job-ready, driving brand awareness, engagement, and conversions, and shaping the industry as influential thought leaders.

Financial assistance

The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is a needs-based program designed to help Ontario students cover the cost of post-secondary education. Funded by the federal and provincial governments, OSAP is intended to promote equality of opportunity for post-secondary studies through direct financial assistance for educational costs and living expenses. These interest-free loans are intended to supplement your financial resources and those of your family. The majority of students apply for loan assistance via the OSAP website.
