Getting Involved

Work where you live

There are several ways to join the residence team as an employee or volunteer:

Residence Advisor

As a Residence Advisor (RA), your job is to plan educational and social activities in the residence. RAs provide valuable support and guidance to residents while at the same time acting as a liaison with residence management. You will be expected to complete nightly rounds of the building and to be available to provide assistance to residents.

If you are interested in applying for a position as an RA, please pick up an application form at the front desk of the residence.

Front Desk Attendant

As a Front Desk Attendant or Residence Services Representative (RSR), your job is to aid students in their day-to-day life in residence. If students need help with something around the building, or just want to chat with someone, RSRs are available to help. In conjunction with RAs, RSRs are also required to make nightly rounds of the building to help ensure the safety and security of the residents.

If you are interested in becoming an RSR, please drop your resume off at the residence front desk.

Residence Council Representative

If you are a passionate advocate for community involvement who is looking for new and exciting experiences, look no further. Residence Council is a great way to keep active and involved with student issues and a chance to gain experience both personally and professionally.

Residence Council offers opportunities to attend conferences, develop critical skills like time management and meet new people who share a passion for the student experience. Council members represent the student body living in residence as a student leader.
