Program description - September 2027
Shape the future of manufacturing with Conestoga's Mechanical Techniques - Precision Machining and Tooling.
If you're a high school graduate ready to enter the advanced manufacturing sector, Conestoga's one-year Mechanical Techniques - Precision Machining and Tooling certificate gives you the technical foundation to design, improve and produce high-quality components. This Ontario college program blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on training in conventional machining and CNC manual programming.
You'll learn to operate precision equipment, read and interpret technical drawings, and apply modern manufacturing technologies. Graduates may be eligible to enter directly into Year 2 of Conestoga's Mechanical Technician - General Machinist or Tool and Die/Tool Maker diploma programs. Those who pursue an apprenticeship may also be exempt from Level 1 in-school training, giving you a head start in your career.
