Program description - September 2026

Master the numbers with Conestoga's Business Administration – Accounting diploma.

If you're a high school graduate with a head for numbers and a goal to work in finance or accounting, Conestoga's three-year Business Administration – Accounting advanced diploma is your stepping stone to a rewarding career. This program equips you with the skills to succeed in intermediate-level accounting roles and prepares you for future advancement into management positions.

You'll gain hands-on experience in computerized accounting, financial analysis and tax preparation using the latest business software in modern labs. With a strong foundation in cost accounting, financial planning and internal controls, you'll graduate ready to support business decision-making and drive financial success.

Graduates can pursue the Certified in Management (C.I.M.) designation through the Canadian Institute of Management.

Take the next step: Graduates of this program can earn advanced standing into the final year of the Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) - Accounting, Audit and Information Technology degree — your pathway to the CPA designation.

Note:

  • Graduates of the Business Administration - Accounting program can apply directly to the third year of Conestoga College's Bachelor of Applied Business - Accounting, Audit and Information Technology degree. Graduates of this diploma program would receive credit for the first two years of the AAIT degree program if they maintain a 70% overall average. Diploma graduates would normally start in September and complete two co-op work terms. Graduates with work experience may also receive credit towards one work term.
