Drive Your future forward with Conestoga's Motive Power Technician – Automotive Service program.
Do you love cars, engines and hands-on problem solving? Conestoga's Motive Power Technician – Automotive Service diploma program is the perfect starting point for high school graduates looking to begin a career in the automotive repair industry. In just two years, you'll gain the technical knowledge and practical experience needed to diagnose, repair and maintain today's advanced vehicles.
You'll train in over 20,000 square feet of dedicated shop space, using industry-standard tools and equipment. The program includes Level 1 and Level 2 apprenticeship training equivalencies, giving you a head start toward becoming a certified Automotive Service Technician (310S). You'll also explore career paths beyond the shop, including customer service, business development and parts management.

- Diagnostics and repair of automotive electrical, engine and drivetrain systems
- Hybrid and electric vehicle technologies
- Failure analysis and advanced troubleshooting techniques
- Safe use of tools and equipment in a professional shop environment
- Preparation for exemption from Levels 1 and 2 of apprenticeship training
