Grand River Transit (GRT)

The GRT transportation system is available through the cities of Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge.

4-month unlimited GRT Term Pass – ONE Card

Eligible students who purchase the 4-month unlimited GRT Term pass will use their physical ONE Card to tap on the GRT buses and light rail (ION) for unlimited travel during all 4 months of the school term.

This option is available to full-time students (including co-op students) registered at the Kitchener - Doon, Kitchener - Downtown, Cambridge - Fountain Street, Cambridge - Reuter Drive, and Waterloo campuses.  

GRT term pass

Spring 2024 GRT Term Pass

Passes will be available for sale starting April 15, 2024. Once the sales window closes, please see the Pay As You Go and Monthly Pass option for more information.  

  • Sales window: April 15 - May 20, 2024
  • Pass effective: May 1 - August 31, 2024
  • Price: $306.00

Eligible students can purchase their GRT Term Pass on the ONE Card Portal using the following steps: 

  1. Sign in to the ONE Card Portal

    Select "Students" and sign in using Your Student Condor ID and Password

  2. Select GRT TERM PASS from the main menu

    The GRT Term Pass is only available to full-time students enrolled at the Kitchener - Doon, Waterloo, Cambridge, and Kitchener - Downtown campuses. If you are unable to see the GRT Term Pass option on the ONE Card portal, please contact the ONE Card Office

  3. Select GRT Term Pass Payment

    Purchase the GRT Term Pass by selecting Credit Card or Condor Cash as your payment option. 

    If you have $306.00 or more Condor Cash on your account, you can use the Condor Cash payment option to purchase your GRT Term Pass.  

    If you do not have a Credit Card, visit a Bookstore location to load money onto your Condor Cash account to complete your GRT Term Pass purchase online. 

    How to review your Condor Cash Account and Load Money: 

    • Use the Main Menu to select Account Summary to view your Condor Cash balance. Ensure you have the full amount of the pass price in your account.
    • If you need to add funds, use the Main Menu to select Add Money to complete the add funds process. Once you have loaded funds to your account, return to the GRT Term Pass page and select the Condor Cash option.
  4. Terms and conditions

    Agree to the terms and conditions of the GRT Term Pass. Passes are non-refundable or transferable.  

  5. Complete purchase

    If you are using your credit card, you will be asked to complete your payment information.  

    Once your purchase is complete, an email confirmation will be sent to you. Please allow 2 business days (not including weekends or holidays) for your ONE Card to become your active bus pass.

Pay As You Go and Monthly Pass – GRT EasyGO Card

GRT offers a reusable smart card called an EasyGO fare card that riders can load funds onto to pay per ride, referred to as stored value, or load a monthly unlimited pass.    

Visit the GRT EasyGO fare card website to learn more about purchasing and loading an EasyGO fare card or visit the Bookstore at the Kitchener – Doon campus to purchase and load.    

This pass is available to all students and employees.    

Employee corporate discount

Conestoga College is a member of TravelWise, a workplace program. Conestoga employees have access to TravelWise services, including a discounted Corporate GRT Transit Pass.

Conestoga employees can request a Corporate Pass Fare Card and save 15% on transit fares by purchasing a monthly Corporate Pass or stored value. With stored value, you can load a dollar amount ($10 to $100) on your card and save 15% each trip, every time you tap.

Guelph

Guelph Transit

Guelph Transit offers a pay-as-you-go monthly fare cap program. With the monthly fare cap, riders pay for the first 32 rides in a month, then tap and ride for free the rest of the month. An OnYourWay fare card or app is required.

Post-secondary students get a discount on every single paid ride. Regular single ride fare with an OnYourWay card or app is $2.80, but post-secondary account holders pay $2.25 (20% discount). To get the post-secondary rate, you must provide proof of enrolment (tuition statement or course schedule showing your name, post-secondary institution, and term). This can be done in person or online, and must be completed each term.

Brantford

Brantford Transit

Fall/winter terms

The bus pass fee (U-Pass) paid during the fall and/or winter terms provide registered Brantford campus students with unlimited travel on the Brantford Transit system using their Wilfrid Laurier University OneCard, during the term the fee was paid.

Students registered at the Brantford campus in the fall and/or winter terms who have the bus pass fee (U-Pass) included in their tuition will have their term pass automatically loaded onto their Wilfrid Laurier University OneCard.

Students registered at the Brantford campus in the fall and/or winter terms pay a bus pass fee (U-Pass) included in their tuition.

Spring term

Students registered at the Brantford campus in the spring term who would like to purchase single ride or a monthly pass can visit the Wilfrid Laurier University Students' Union web page for more information.

Students registered at the Brantford campus in the spring term, are eligible to purchase a monthly student pass directly from the Brantford Transit.

Milton

Milton Transit

Students registered at the Milton campus can purchase a Conestoga College Term Pass through Milton Transit - Token Transit for $273. The Token Transit app is required to store the term pass or fare. Students must show the app when boarding the bus (a screenshot is not accepted). Internet or mobile data is required to use the app.

    • Route 1 - High Point (pdf) serves the Milton - Parkhill Drive campus and includes direct stops at the Milton GO station, Hwy 401 Park-and-Ride, and the Milton - Parkhill Drive campus. The route runs weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. See below for transporation options when Route 1 is not running.
  • Milton Transit OnDemand - A flexible, shared-ride service which provides transit without following a fixed route or schedule and is booked via the Transit App. This service can be booked in advance and is included in the term pass.
  • GO Transit Fare Integration - A service which lets you ride Milton Transit for free if you are connecting to or from GO Transit.

Transportation options when Route 1 is not running

  • Weekdays, after 7 p.m. - if going to 401 Park / Milton GO Station - use Milton Transit OnDemand
  • Weekdays, after 9 p.m. - if destination is in Milton - inquire at the Welcome Desk on the 2nd floor
  • Saturdays - use Milton Transit OnDemand
  • Sundays - if in Milton and are coming to or going from campus - inquire at the Welcome Desk on the 2nd floor

Full-time students are eligible to receive 40%* off the standard fare (single adult ticket). Visit Post-Secondary Student Discount and follow the steps to register for a GO Student ID.
