Waterloo - 50 University Ave. East

First-year student housing guarantee (Brantford and Waterloo only) - extended to August 1, 2024

Apply for student housing in Brantford or Waterloo, and make your first payment by August 1, 2024, to secure your place in our Brantford or Waterloo student apartments for the upcoming academic year.

Application process

• Accept your offer of admissions from Conestoga College.
• Create a profile in the Student Housing portal at Brantford or Waterloo and submit your student housing application.
• After submitting your housing application, it will be reviewed and processed by our staff. If in good order, you will receive an acceptance letter and an invoice to make a payment towards your housing fees. Note that processing your application can take up to five business days.
• Complete the remaining portion of your housing application and make your first payment by 11:59 p.m. EDT on August 1, 2024 to secure your accommodation.

All applicants will be assigned a suite at their selected community. Waterloo applicants will be provided a suite at a Waterloo apartments & suites. Brantford applicants will be provided a suite at the Brantford apartments & suites.

Accommodation preferences

All suites will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis and assignment will be based on preference for suite type and rate. We cannot guarantee the suite type, specific property, and/or proximity to campus. Doon Residence is not part of the first-year student housing guarantee.

Rates for Waterloo - University Ave. apartments & suites

Fees include utilities, high-speed internet access, and a furnished suite in a three, four, or six-bedroom apartment. Your Conestoga College tuition account is separate from your Conestoga housing fees account. Do not instruct your banking institution to pay Conestoga College.

Please note: Unlike the college, Conestoga housing cannot defer payments for OSAP.

Annual academic years are outlined in the Student Resident Agreement. See section 1.02 of the Student Resident Agreement for details.

Spring term start: May 4, 2024 - April 25, 2025 (annual academic year 1)

Fall term start: September 1, 2024 - August 26, 2025 (annual academic year 2)

Acceptances for the fall term start are typically sent out in mid-May.

Transportation

Waterloo campus

This location is a short walk, approximately 4 minutes (under 350m) to the Waterloo campus.

Kitchener - Downtown campus

The location is 4.5km from the Kitchener - Downtown campus. By public transit (GRT) - Route 8 is a 20-minute bus ride from University/Weber to Frederick/Weber.

Parking

You must purchase a parking permit to park while staying in Conestoga housing. This permit can also be used at any campus except the Waterloo campus.

Guests are required to purchase daily parking through HonkMobile Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking is free after 4 p.m. and on weekends.

Walksafe

Walksafe is a service provided by Safety and Security to escort staff, students, and visitors while on campus or at Conestoga housing. This service is available at all campuses upon request, except Milton and Stratford.
