Program description - September 2025

To succeed as a manager or leader in today's ever-changing, global, and increasingly virtual business world, you need a broad range of multi-disciplinary skills, a strong leadership self-identity, and a growth mindset. This program is ideal if your goal is to succeed in a management or leadership role within a wide variety of business contexts. In this Ontario Graduate Certificate program, you will first build a strong foundation by exploring yourown leadership self-identity, style, strengths, and preferences. From there, you will build multidisciplinary skills required by today's business leaders in a variety of areas including projectmanagement, strategic planning, business analytics, financial management, change and riskmanagement, and human resources management. In our complex business world, with a dramatic increase in global, remote and hybrid work environments, employee engagement and retention are more critical than ever. You will explore the business case and effective practices for promoting workplace diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. You will learn cutting-edge practices to effectively manage remote, hybrid and global teams to be able to inspire, motivate, guide, and empower others. You will have an opportunity to explore the U.N.'s PRME initiative and Sustainable Development Goals to understand how leaders can incorporate sustainable business practices across a broad range of contexts. In a business world where change is a constant, you will learn practices to not only manage change, but drive value through change.Through a variety of group-based projects, independent self-exploration, case studies and interactive learning opportunities you will develop a broad range of future-proof skills for a range of management and leadership roles.Successful graduates of this program will have completed the academic requirement to pursue the Certified in Management (C.I.M.) designation through the C.I.M.: Chartered Managers Canada.

Financial assistance

The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is a needs-based program designed to help Ontario students cover the cost of post-secondary education. Funded by the federal and provincial governments, OSAP is intended to promote equality of opportunity for post-secondary studies through direct financial assistance for educational costs and living expenses. These interest-free loans are intended to supplement your financial resources and those of your family. The majority of students apply for loan assistance via the OSAP website.
