Program description - January 2026

Do you enjoy working on or being around cars? Do you like working with your hands? This one-year program will kickstart your career as an automotive service technician and provide you with Level 1 apprenticeship training equivalencies. With a focus on hands-on training, Conestoga graduates are well-positioned to enter the automotive field and begin a successful career working in the trade. Throughout the program, you will develop a strong foundation of technical skills needed in the automotive field. You will practice safe working procedures in the use of tools, machinery, and equipment in 20,000 square feet of combined shop space. To round out your training, you will be introduced to fundamental business and career applicable concepts. As a successful graduate, you will have an opportunity to receive exemption from the Level 1 portion of the Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship in-school training.
