Launch your career in firefighting with Conestoga's Pre-Service Firefighter Education and Training program.
If you've ever dreamed of becoming a firefighter and making a real difference in your community, Conestoga's Pre-Service Firefighter Education and Training program is the perfect starting point. This one-year, three-term program is designed for high school graduates who want to enter the fire service field with confidence, professionalism and the skills needed to succeed. You'll gain hands-on experience through simulation-based training and earn credentials recognized by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), preparing you for roles in fire suppression, prevention and public safety education.
With a focus on teamwork, critical thinking and lifelong wellness, this program helps you build the physical and mental resilience needed for a career in emergency services. Whether you're aiming to join a municipal fire department or pursue further training, Conestoga sets you up for success.

Note:
- September start: Students complete all three terms (Fall, Winter, and Spring) within the same academic year. Tuition for all three terms is shown for the September intake.
- January start: Students complete two terms (Winter and Spring) in the first academic year, and the third term (Fall) in the following academic year. Tuition for two terms is shown for the January intake. Tuition for the Fall term will be billed separately in the next academic year.
