Technical requirements

The following are the minimum technical requirements to access Conestoga Online full-time programs.  Individual programs or courses may have additional system requirements. Please refer to your program handbook, or course requirements for additional guidance.

Internet access

  • Courses are best viewed with high-speed internet and a reliable internet connection
  • Ensure that JavaScript and cookies are enabled in your browser
  • Perform a system check to ensure cookies and JavaScript are enabled

Browsers

The latest version of browsers on the following systems are supported. Perform a system check to ensure your browser is compatible.

Desktop

Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Safari

Tablets and mobile

Tablets and mobile devices are sufficient to access content and communication features, but some online assessments will require that students have access to a laptop or desktop computer.

Apple iOS for iPhone and iPad: Apple Safari

Android: Google Chrome

Online proctoring

Some courses may use online proctoring for tests. If an instructor chooses to enable this service in your course, the following additional requirements must be met: 

  • Windows: 10, 8, 7
  • Mac: OS X 10.12 or higher
  • Web camera (internal or external) and microphone
