Academic delivery plan

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Conestoga has developed an academic delivery plan for 2021. The safety and well-being of our college community remains our highest priority. Our academic plans and decisions for the spring and fall terms continue to be based on the advice of public health authorities.

Some programs will be delivered in a hybrid format (a combination of remote and on-campus learning). Other programs will be delivered in a remote format only. Courses in which remote delivery is not possible will be offered entirely through on-campus delivery.

Only students who have classes scheduled on campus will be pre-approved to be on campus. Students need to complete a mandatory pre-approval process before they can attend their class. Students who do not have a scheduled activity are not permitted on campus. Support services for students will continue to be available remotely.

Please note: Academic delivery plans for the fall term will be completed and subsequently updated on this web page throughout the spring. College academic delivery plans may be modified as a result of COVID-related developments in the region or province.

Welcome to the School of Engineering & Technology and thank you for choosing Conestoga College for your post-secondary education.

In response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, Conestoga College has transformed our operations to deliver the best possible education and service. We have taken extensive measures to protect the health and safety of our new and returning students, our employees and our greater community.

During the fall 2021 term, Conestoga College will deliver academic programs fully or partially online. Theory components in your courses will be delivered online through a combination of:

Asynchronous and synchronous delivery will be shown on your timetable.

Many of our programs require face-to-face learning in labs, shops and studios. These components will be held on campus, face-to-face, except for areas where simulation software and hybrid delivery tools exist, and they will be held in accordance with public health guidelines for physical distancing, infection prevention and control. For information about your program delivery, please see below.

TRADES AND APPRENTICESHIP

Message from the Dean

Suzanne Moyer

Welcome to the School of Trades & Apprenticeship and thank you for choosing Conestoga College for your post-secondary education in skilled trades.

In response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, Conestoga College has transformed our operations to deliver the best possible education and service. We have taken extensive measures to protect the health and safety of our new and returning students, our employees and our greater community.

With the continued uncertainty of the pandemic, during the fall 2021 term, Conestoga College will deliver academic programs fully or partially online. Theory components in your courses will be delivered online through a combination of:

  1. Scheduled, live, real-time sessions (also known as synchronous delivery), and
  2. Self-directed content (also known as asynchronous delivery)

Asynchronous and synchronous delivery will be shown on your timetable.

Many of our programs require face-to-face learning in shops. These components will be held on campus, face-to-face, except for areas where simulation software and hybrid delivery tools exist, and they will be held in accordance with public health guidelines for physical distancing, infection prevention and control. For information about your program delivery, please see below.

At Conestoga, we are committed to your success. Our program staff will make all efforts to provide you with a positive learning experience while incorporating safe, hands-on, practical learning. In addition, you will have access to a wide range of student services designed to support your academic journey.

We look forward to welcoming you to the School of Trades & Apprenticeship and wish you all the best in the upcoming terms.
